Here are some of my initial design ideas. I took inspiration from some existing dermatoscopes on the market, but also noticed a lot of problems with them (such as faceplate switching functionality, size, lighting mechanisms, etc), which I aim to solve in my final DermiScope prototype.

These are the sketches used to finalize my prototype dimensions. Obviously, there was a a large amount of measuring and trial + error.
My initial prototype design in Fusion360. It turned out to be a little smaller and too thin, so I made a couple changes (see right) =>
This is the final version of my phone attachment mechanism, with correct dimensions. This little thing is able to attach to a variety of devices such as phones and iPads (commonly used in dermoscopy settings).
My trusty, second-hand Creality Ender 3D printer in action! His name is Robert.
